Forgetfulness
I forgot I had a tumblr… I forget many things. Ask anyone that knows me!
Uhmm… haiku!
Earth is wet - warm.
She is living and at peace,
dancing through the sky.
I have been studying traditional Japanese haiku. I have a VERY limited understanding of the language, so reading poems doesn’t help as much as I would like it too. Traditional haiku have kigo - “defined word or...

I have been giggling incessantly for three hours
Hee hee hee! ^______________^

Same damn song
I had to ask the revelers in the basement apartment to please turn down their music.
For clarification, their music is loud enough to travel up through two floor and still be loud enough to overpower my music. I even turned it up a bit, but was still unable to cover up the party going on two floors down.
The worst part is that it has been the same music the entire night. It is a Mexican band of...

Day 36/365 Haiku 36/365
I have decided to return to my original purpose for this blog. I deleted those posts which did not contain Haikus. I suppose it would have been better to move them to another blog, but I feel no real connection to those posts. Too often I post things just to post things because I have these blogs to update. I have nothing truly interesting to say in an arena such as this. Give me instead a...

Back log...
I’m sort of cheating here, but whatever…
Day 26/365 Haiku 26/365 I saw you last, eyes glittering into mine and there is love here. Day 27/365 Haiku 27/365 I write poetry for you, in shades of purple. Sometimes sad but not. Day 28/365 Haiku 28/365 My lips burn and burn until you cool them with fire and cool green water Day 29/365 Haiku 29/365 Yellow is pretty, pale and filled with...

Day 25/365 Haiku 25/365
It’s like a hot knife -
cauterizing as it cuts,
healing as it wounds.
Day 24/365 Haiku 24/365
I like when it rains
when the day is warm and green
and the rain is cool.
Day 23/365 Haiku 23/365
You’ve all gone away.
Emails and ten second calls -
sit for a second!
Day 22/365 Haiku 22/365
Over a month now
with nothing to show for it
but the urge to drink.
Day 21/365 Haiku 21/365
“Fuck, it’s cold out there.”
she said, but the sight of him
made her warm quickly.
Day 20/365 Haiku 20/365
Progress will not come.
Until we know true hunger,
apathy still calls.
Day 19/365 Haiku 19/365
I know it’s strange, but
I want to swim in fresh milk
that smells like roses.
Day 18/365 Haiku 18/365
When purple peeks out
from dark, smooth, sensous green,
the earth mates with life.
Day 17/365 Haiku 17/365
I like red ribbon.
Silky, tight around my wrist
until it bruises.
Day 16/365 Haiku 16/365
Spring will soon be here.
God and Goddess in sacred
union create life.
Day 15/365 Haiku 15/365
I’ve been thinking about math a lot lately:
Phi is the number
of our heart’s balanced beauty.
Divine proportion.
#15 from training boredom:
I love your deep heart
in geometric patterns,
octahedral love
Day 14/365 Haiku 14/365
Smooth like chocolate
is how I imagine your taste,
but I’ll never know.
#14 from training boredom:
You are beautiful.
Sometimes your cheeks are flushed red
after climbing stairs.
Day 13/365 Haiku 13/365
My name’s in the jar.
I pray to Aphrodite
that it goes to you.
#13 from training boredom:
Sometimes I feel lost,
but it isn’t bothersome
when you’re there with me.
Day 12/365 Haiku 12/365
Romance is cold, dead
in this modern, listless world
yet warm in my heart.
#12 from training boredom:
Rosemary is clean,
basil, anise, and sweet clove -
cinnamon kisses.
Day 11/365 Haiku 11/365
Holy White Rabbit Batman! I’m late.
I wonder at fish
swimming silver in the lakes
guessing at worms.
#11 from training boredom:
Touch me, I’ll hum a
divine melody to match
the song of your heart.
Day 10/365 Haiku 10/365
Rain on a tin roof
sounds like the shed in summer
when we were children.
#10 from training boredom:
I’m no angel, but
I can feel wings at my back
when you are near me.
Day 9/365 Haiku 9/365
It is warm outside
and energy is buzzing
‘round the glowing trees.
#9 from training boredom:
Your heart is water -
cool, clear, and flowing gently
through my broken heart.
Day 8/365 Haiku 8/365
This one is actually titled! Ode to Diogenes:
Ragged yet lively,
I search ceaselessly but find
nothing that is “man.”
#8 from training boredom:
I see God in trees,
and our Goddess in the bough’s
swollen, silver fruit.
Day 7/365 Haiku 7/365
That ice-cream wrapper
has been sitting on his desk
for close to eight months.
#7 from training boredom:
Lolling in water,
cold mud between little toes,
her green eyes are yours.
Day 6/365 Haiku 6/365
Yesterday I drowned
in a dream, near the flowers.
It wasn’t so bad.
#6 from training boredom:
Cute little brown mouse,
I’ll protect you, tiny love,
from traps if I can.
Day 5/365 Haiku 5/365
I’m late, I’m late! Sigh…
Dark hair and blue eyes,
a perfect combination.
Wonder if she’s real?
#5 from training boredom:
I saw you dance once,
a funny little red move,
and desire filled me.
Day 4/365 Haiku 4/365
Happiness does not
sit and wait for anyone
but your precious self.
#4 from the training boredom series:
Honeyed, amber light
fills my heart when you’re smiling,
stuck in your sweetness.
Bonus! Just because:
Happiness is love,
freedom from dependency,
simple, gentle thoughts.
Day 3/365 Haiku 3/365
Acidic rain comes
and burns my heart. I’ll wait for
your sweet touch, my salve.
#3 from my training boredom:
Basil leaves circle
your beautiful head, smelling
sweetly of your sweat.
Day 2/365 Haiku 2/365
Posted a day late, but it still counts:
I like how snow-peas
pop in my mouth in summer,
refreshing and green
#2 from my training boredom:
My fingers tingle
with the magic of your hair
in secret meetings.
Day 1/365 Haiku 1/365
My home is near you
And there, also, is my heart
in silver moonlight
an extra from my training boredom:
I sit in your lap
in my dreams, where I’m a cat
and watch you smiling
